Buying guide

Measure your altar linens with confidence

Start with the measurements of your altar and the look your parish needs. We confirm fabric, fit, price and lead time before ordering.

What to measure

  1. Altar top: Measure the length and width of the actual surface in inches.
  2. Drop: Measure how far the cloth should hang on each side and each end. Specify any side that should have no drop.
  3. Trim: Tell us whether the stated drop includes lace or other edging.

Calculate the finished size

Finished length = altar length + left-end drop + right-end drop. Finished width = altar width + front drop + back drop. For example, an 84 × 36-inch top with 6-inch drops on all sides needs a finished 96 × 48-inch cloth.

Include these details with your quote request

Send a sketch or photo, all measurements, fabric preference, desired lace or embroidery, quantity, and needed-by date. For corporals, purificators, palls or lavabo towels, give the individual item size and quantity.

We’ll review the measurements with you before placing a custom order.
